The Whirling Dervish is a form of physically active meditation which originated among certain Sufi groups, and which is still practiced by the Sufi Dervishes of the Mevlevi order and others. Aural Films asked artists to create their own entrancing Whirling music slow or fast, minimal or busy, droning or percussive. We are happy to present more than 30 interpretations of these entrancing sonic meditations that you can hear now.
